I will say, I’ve met a lot of shitty christians in my life and a lot of shitty atheists but almost always the christians defend, dismiss, or deny their shitty behavior en masse

Atheism doesn’t really come with any moral implications, and atheists often dont identify as a cohesive community. But Christians tend to believe that “Christian” means “good person.” So when a Christian is a bad person that threatens their worldview. But like I don’t see Stalin being a bad person as invalidating my atheism in any way.

That’s usually because they’re in denial in some way, I mean if you’re a bad person in most Christian faiths you go to hell so as long as they view what they’re doing as right then they shouldn’t go to hell.

Yeah this and they seem to think that they’re exempt from being bad because there’s a biased belief that reaffirms the idea that they can be as shitty as they want and their God forgives them. Of course that’s at the expense of the rest of the world though
