of course it’s been an ongoing issue, that’s why Biden was trying to go back to the 2015 deal trump scuttled considering Harris’ politics she’d probably have tried to do the same

Trump, meanwhile, threw away any leverage he had by dropping existing agreements and going hardball, because he didn’t care if he was successful in finding a peaceful resolution or not. ie he didn’t care about potentially throwing away American lives in a useless war.

The 2015 deal resolved nothing, it momentarily limited Irans nuclear capabilities while giving billions of dollars that were spent on missile programs and funding allies like hamas and hezbollah. There is no peaceful resolution under the current regime, that’s part of the reason why everyone including Iranians want regime change
