I wouldn’t be surprised if Germany sent troops to come after Americas dictator in thief. They’ve seen this before and know that it needs to be stopped.

there are a million domestic and foreign policy and diplomacy and economic reasons they’re not going to do that. this is a fantasy - the worst kind of fantasy. the kind that encourages complacency under fascism - cause surely someone ELSE is going to save you, right? nobody is coming to save you. nobody is coming to save us. if you want military action against the dictator, pick up the gun yourself.

Why did we do it to Venezuela then?

because - and i shit you not, this a real fact - our military is TWO HUNDRED AND TWENTY FIVE TIMES more well funded than Venezuela’s. Venezuela is not sending warships to fight ours when replacing one would take an eighth of the budget for that ENTIRE YEAR and replacing ours would take fractions of fractions.

I’m jus saying, if we can do it without reason to do so, then Germany should do it (with plenty of reason)

Venezuela has ONE frigate in their navy. One. O n e. How many destroyers do they have? ZERO. WE. HAVE. SEVENTY. SIX.

No, I’m not. You are refusing to engage with the economic reality of WAR. When you throw more money at the military - and your opponent doesn’t/can’t - you can act with IMPUNITY, because fighting back would be GENERATIONALLY devastating for THEIR military, and their neighbors would pounce.

Would you consider Venezuela’s region to be… geographically stable? Neither would their government. They need the military to remain un-decimated to protect from their hostile neighbors - so they won’t give the US military the opportunity TO devastate them by doing something as stupid as declaring war. Our generals knew that too, going in. Notice how we’re STILL not at war with Venezuela? Weeks later? I do.

Yes, because Venezuela was a target that we unexpectedly overthrew for no reason. Most places that are attacked without warning aren’t gonna retaliate immediately. Do you know how long it took us to go after ISIS when they attacked us? We didn’t go in the day after. Military tactics aren’t immediate.

Okay - just so we’re on the same page. Are you implying you think Venezuela WILL declare war on us, they’re just strategizing and preparing their military tactics?

I’m saying that military tactics don’t happen overnight. Especially when all eyes are on them. And if you think there aren’t underground operations already happening, then you don’t understand war.
