That’s literally the whole plot of this acquisition. He just wants CNN. If he takes over, they get influential sway on election perception.

Let’s say the vote is 43% in for a county and leaning in republicans way, and/or if it’s influential to a donor in that county, they could contact Ellison and he could have CNN just call the vote to the paid off republican’s way. Same can be said for any donor wanting a paid off democrat.
