You can criticize Israel’s government and its actions in a war. That’s a political stance. But attacking or mocking random Jewish people, or acting like violence against a synagogue is “fake,” a distraction, or deserved, is just discrimination.

And for those who oppose Israel, not calling out antisemitism and taking it seriously is the best way to persuade Jews that they are safer in Israel

This is definitely traumatizing and disgusting. But I really don’t put it past the evil corrupt administration to stage false flag attacks like this. That doesn’t mean the attack is “fake,” it’s more like we need to be wary about exacerbating xenophobia. It’s sad because either way, innocent civilians will always suffer

Exactly, we need to be on the lookout for false flag attacks and not let any attacks, whether genuinely motivated or false flag, manufacture consent for further war and escalation. AND we need to keep fighting antisemitism because antisemitic attacks are a very real danger
