Conservatives only love veterans when they're dead. All but one veteran I know is left of center or at the very least highly critical of the Trump admin and they all get dogged on by the conservatives around us

conservatives love speaking for the voiceless. not in the way of accurately and faithfully representing the voiceless, giving them a voice they dont have. but in the way of im gonna shove words down your throat when youre dead because you cant contest it then

"I know he's a veteran, but..." But what? So now that he doesn't agree with you, his voice doesn't matter? Is he more useful to you dead so you can speak on his behalf?
