You know, it sucks to some degree. But in part it feels good to say something when they start spouting some bs. Just to know for yourself that you’re standing by your beliefs, and that you’re doing what you can to help them realize what’s going on in the world

Im sure it would feel great. I need to work on debating too though because as bad as their views are and how theyre based in bs, Ill admit they’re both great at defending them and debating and they would win every time as of rn

Practice, all I can say. I do plenty on here, these dumbasses are a great jumping off point. Plus you’ve gotta learn how to keep up with everything and keep yourself as well-informed as you can. But once you’ve got the info, it’s just practice and confidence

Like my stepfather. He’s a dumbass, but he’s a smartish dumbass. First couple times I debated him on things, he did get me a couple times. That was, mind you, before I fully understood logical fallacies lmao. But at this point I can just talk circles around the guy. He won’t even debate me anymore bc he’s annoyed he gets proven wrong every time. So he actually stoped spouting bs, which is nice

I just got some practice on reddit. I said as citizens we should always support and believe survivors until we have a concrete reason not to and people took it as me wanting anyone who gets accused instantly thrown in jail or having their life fucked up. Im probably the one that fucked up by talking about it on reddit but still

Yeah ngl Reddit was your first mistake lmao. Here ain’t all that much better, but it’s certainly at least a few steps up from Reddit. But yeah, I absolutely agree. If somebody makes a serious accusation, like that of sexual assault for example, we should absolutely give them the benefit of the doubt. None of that “oh but they’d never” or “they’re not that kinda person” bs, but actually believe and investigate those claims seriously. Obviously not locking people up over accusations, but actually-

do our due diligence to uncover the facts and find proof one way or the other. Too often I see people talking about victims saying things like “oh she’s just crazy” or “why would he ever do that to someone though, it doesn’t make sense.” Benefit of the doubt should always go to the potential victim

Here i think people are pretty chill. And at the very least they dont usually twist your words or hear what they wanna hear. And Ive been falsely accused myself btw

Definitely much more chill here. And many will probably still take any opportunity to twist or oversimplify your words. But yk still, far better than Reddit lmao
