I used to be like "I'm atheist but idc if you're religious", but more and more lately I can't help but see religious people as DUMB for believing in in literal fairytales as a grown ass adult… anyone else?

This administration has made me go from atheist to antitheist. Like if humanity is going to survive we need to move past religion

i understand what you're saying but it's dangerous to close your mind and make assumptions on things you don't fully understand in a way that will divide you from people

Are they not doing the same thing though? They just don't say it openly I don't care if it divides me from them, I have nothing in common with someone who uses the threat of damnation to guide their moral compass

This is where I stand. I went from "idc if you're religious" to "you're dumb if you're religious but that's still your choice" to "your religion is actively doing harm to society"
