Part of it is the beef the other Latin American countries have with Argentina. Part of it is their shitty current government is in the news a lot compared to the other countries. Part of it is the only thing like 75% of Americans know about Argentina is the Nazi thing. Which it must be said more Germans came to Argentina fleeing the Nazis than the reverse.

Chile’s former presidential candidate José Antonio Kast’s father was a Nazi Party member, Colombia’s president Gustavo Petro was part of the M-19 guerrilla movement, and Brazil also received Nazi fugitives after WWII. In fact they are way more racist in southern Brazil than they are in Argentina. Funny how propaganda works.
