Those are over a dozen separate instances in a multi century period of time. The Great Leap Forward lasted 4 years and killed tens of millions due to government incompetence and they were still exporting food during the whole thing!

I’m not against a monarchy as long as it’s not totalitarian and has full human rights. The signing of the Magna Carta is one of my favorite historical events!

Some of it was absolutely anti-Irish prejudice, but the capitalistic system allowed them to perpetuate the stereotypes that allowed for the “famine” (genocide) to continue.

That is true. That is a failure of capitalism. Capitalism definitely has its flaws, and when strictly interpreted (along with other issues) terrible things like that happen. But there are many many more people that have starved, been killed, or died some other way as a direct result from textbook communism rather than capitalism
