Maybe this is a hot take but Hillary and Kamala only lost because theyre women. If any average straight white man went against trump they’d win in a landslide. I mean, even Biden did it and he was barely functional

Luke warm take. It’s disappointing we’re still this held back by misogyny as a society, but that’s almost 100% the reason. To be absolutely fair though, Hillary ran a horrendous campaign based on nothing but memes to appeal to gen z, and Kamala had such a late and sudden start a lot of voters didn’t even know she was running instead of Biden

Completely agree OP, most charges against Kamala were things that those same people ignore in their preferred male candidates. She had plenty of real flaws sure but sexism played a huge role here

By no means am I saying they’re perfect, no candidate is, especially not trump. But they were both decent candidates and I believed they were men, honestly even men of color, trump would have lost

I did a poll on here, a overwhelmingly not conservative space even, a few weeks ago of if there were two identical candidates but one was a man and one was a woman, who would you vote for? And I think they were pretty close and someone was arguing that they vote for a man because they’re a man and they vote for what they see in themselves and it’s like ok but we need progress and do you not want a first female president or do you want a million more white male presidents bc you’re a white male

I’d believe it more for Hillary than Kamala, Kamala got kinda thrown to the wolves with being put in the race so late. That campaign could be the dictionary definition for the glass cliff.

Yeah exactly, I’m just saying it seems even more impossible because even if trump was a better candidate and they were actually equal, the man would still win
