Hey man. I get where you’re coming from. But you can’t make this statement without handwaving away Russification of the former Soviet republics, the erasure of identities and cultures that aren’t Russian. And then Pol Pot’s genocide of Chinese and Vietnamese in Cambodia.

I’m opposed to authoritarianism in all forms, in my opinion a system of constant loyalty to the state above all else inevitably leads to purges of dissidents

Both those regimes share a history of purges based on stifling dissent or the paranoia of being a ruthless apparatus of state control and needing to reaffirm loyalty above competency.
