And people will still try to blame VOTERS for Kamala losing the election herself 😭 sis hasn't learned a damn thing either, it is infuriating listening to her blame everyone but herself in her press tours Mamdani is proof leftist policies WIN ELECTIONS
kamala ran a shitty campaign. zohran ran a good campaign. its actually a policitians job to get people to go out and vote for them

Mamdani is proof that a leftist can squeak out a victory in the bluest areas if the opposition is divided.

This mamdani experiment is going to end horribly for New York.

Bro she was running for the presidency not blue mayor of a blue city. She had lots of flaws but some voters can be blamed too. People out here saying that she was too fake or untrustworthy or not focused on the economy then voted for trump as if there was any reason to think he’d be better

So how is he going to get those free buses again? Ya know because the MTA is a state agency and he needs the states approval? Considering Hochul just came out and said nah I’m not signing off on that? What about the raising taxes? Oh Hochul said no to that one too, darn

I did not say he can actually do the things he said he wants to do all by himself, just that leftist policies win elections.

So either you admit he’s a liar and knew well before hand he couldn’t make these socialist policies happen and will most likely lie about more things during his tenure OR he did so little due diligence that he didn’t realize he couldn’t actually do his campaign promises which points to atrocious planning

Literally name a single politician who fulfilled more than 1 or 2 of their campaign promises in the last 20 years, sybau

Lk how are they bigoted for pointing out that a central campaign promise is a facade, if that is indeed the case? Seems like we could save that label for people who criticize him based on color or creed instead of policy

These clowns resort to that term whenever they have no logical defense when they know they’re wrong and it’s so fucking funny

I'm sorry but her trying to run as Republican-Lite™ is absolutely not the fault of the voters. The DNC was crazy to think they should try to go for the middle by trying to sound more conservative than usual. She literally said she would be stricter on the border than Trump. Trump won because he did everything she did PLUS he also lied to voters about issues they cared about. She didn't talk about issues the working class actually cared about hardly at all.

It's not a facade if it's something he will work towards. Again, point me to a single candidate who has been able to make all of their major campaign promises. I'll wait.

Calling him bigoted because he's clearly just racist for singling Mamdani out for this when quite literally no president/other candidate ever delivers on all or even most of their promises

It’s not about being able to fulfill campaign promises or not, it’s about if you actually believed fulfilling those promises was even remotely possible in the first place. If what 3 said about required state approval is accurate then promising to do something like this does seem dishonest given that he knows it’s essentially impossible. I couldn’t promise to give everyone $50,000 in cash then act surprised when I’m inevitably unable to do so while still claiming to be honest.

Where does race come into play here? You are the only one who’s spoken about it. This is purely a policy discussion

I mean she really did, she spent a lot of time talking about the economy. She made lots of mistakes (way too far center/right I agree) but I think she lost in good part because she was a woman too, she absolutely would’ve gotten more passes on some of her biggest flaws if she was a man

Talking about the economy in the abstract is not the same as talking about policy. She didn't do a lot of that. She kept everything very high level. No promises → no votes
