I’m assuming you mean the Texas case? I’m assuming you mean the Texas case? prosecutors did not charge the defendants merely because they happened to attend the same protest. A federal jury convicted seven of them of rioting with intent to commit violence, providing material support to terrorists, conspiracy to use/carry explosives, and using/carrying explosives during a riot.

The Texas case is just one of many where protesters are being hit with terrorism charges, that is not normal and should not be accepted by anyone who values the first amendment
