
It’s unfortunately trickle-down politics. Boomers got to buy a house with a couple-years wage in the 60s and 70s. Gen-X was told their whole life that the plan is to buy a home, raise a family, sell the home and downsize, that it was an investment and wealth builder. Investors did the same and it came true. Millennials and Gen Z are stuck with that system, with their best shot at owning a home debt-free in their lifetime being inheriting one. It’ll stay that way until enough boomers die.
