Imma say like 80% of people who think they have ADHD actually just have fucked up attention spans and brain lags/glitches from technology, social media, screens, etc. Not ADHD.

as someone diagnosed with ADHD since like kindergarten, it’s so much more than just the attention span, which is why I think I agree. Idk about the number, I’m sure it’s hyperbolic, but it’s aggravating when people boil it down to short attention span or being easily distracted

I had to get an ESA because meds have not worked for me and having another living thing to be responsible for is the only thing that gets me up and out of bed. It’s not depression, it’s a lack of executive function. I can’t “hear” song lyrics and spoken words without subtitles or lips to read because of poor audio processing abilities.

YES. Bar for bar. It's so refreshing hearing from someone else who ACTUALLY has ADHD. You fucking get it bro. Istg 9/10 ppl I encounter who claim to have ADHD ONLY struggle with attention span. Like NO BRO this affects every aspect of my life. Every little thing is so f*cking difficult.

Literally because why do I have so many moments where I will be looking someone dead in the eyes while they’re talking, physically hear them talking, and retain 0% of the information they just told me seconds ago 🫩 but sure, you can have the label for frying your brain off of short form content and lifelong instant gratification
