Also Fred Hampton was a communist who supported Black ppl defending themselves against the US government with uh less than nonviolent methods. Chicago PD still hates him so much that they routinely fire bullets at his grave on the anniversary of his death. And yet, every time people mourn his death, they share quotes where they lay out exactly what he believed in no uncertain terms. If we were cowards, it would actually make more sense for us to lie about him. But we’re not

And also I think what you’re confusing with insanity is a really intense anger that I am kind of at a loss for ways to resolve outside of turning my back on causes I care about and shutting myself off from the world. And the fact that my opinion differs from yours wildly and, instead of being coy about it, I am expressing it passionately
