possibly a hot take but i actually do believe *most* republican leadership is actually intelligent, albeit evil. they understand that by fear mongering to the dumbest people in america, they can get away with anything including picking their pockets because this base of people is more loyal and easily manipulated than any other in this country. unfortunately for vance, he’s about as interesting as a bag of rocks and independents won’t buy in unless we run an equally unpopular candidate
