The only reason it’s cameras instead of robots is because they know cameras can be relatively accepted by the public Give it a few years of little to no pushback against the surveillance state and we’ll have Boston Dynamics dogbots tattling on you

Hell we’re already seeing the mass proliferation of drones across precincts in the US, these drones can look through walls and easily violate the 4th amendment without accountability

No it’s because they can’t mass produce millions of Boston Dynamics dogs yet but they can do that with cameras

I disagree, it’s only a matter of money and public perception. If the funds were there and the backers didn’t feel it would receive massive backlash they would gladly fill the streets with robots

I have interviewed the people making the Boston Dynamics robots, let me vouch, they do not produce them on this scale and would need serious investment to switch to the model to mass production.
