It’s been overshadowed by California, but both Iowa and South Dakota are having very interesting Republican primaries. It looks like Trumps nominee may lose in IA and in SD it looks likely that Larry Rhoden, the incumbent governor, is about to go down

the dem senate primary in iowa was also interesting to me. wasn’t surprising to see, but i’m really enthusiastic about turek. dems have scouted pretty good candidates in ia, ak, and oh

Is Turek progressive or moderate? I think Dems have a good shot at flipping the Iowa governors mansion this year, but the debate race and Alaska/Ohio races I’m more skeptical about

Honestly, Mary Peltola running for senate instead of governor was kind of a dumb decision from a politician who rarely makes dumb decisions. I think if she ran for governor, she’d be the favorite to win

turek was the moderate in the race. i’m from ohio, and i feel pretty okay about sherrod brown. i wish there was a younger candidate, but husted is really maga. depending on how the war goes (gas prices) and fertilizer price, i could see some swing happening

i haven’t paid attention to the alaska gov race. ohio gov is sorta competitive

I just spent 6 years in OH! I think Brown was their best choice, but I think Husted is a stronger candidate than Moreno was and even he won. I think the governors race there could flip because governors races are more swingy than senate races. But even that I’m not too sure on I think overall OH is just too red at this point

i really think that if trump continues this war and gas — especially diesel — prices go up, farmers will start to falter. fertilizer prices are rising, which has hurt them badly. i think, best case scenario, the R’s voter turnout will be low

also— ramaswamy won’t help turnout. i don’t think he translates well to rural areas, and that might depress down ballot turnout. i agree brown was their best choice tho, especially with the wexner money thing.
