Well, they did campaign on delivering the files. Then they backed off the ball when some kinda intel report got dropped. Then I guess enough social pressure pushed the release. But I certainly didn’t see many democrats pushing for the release while campaigning. (Not that I’m picking a side here, just the observation of behavior)
It’s an observation based on memory. So when you say that to someone stating an observation, that what they saw made them insane, we would normally call that gaslighting. I may be one of the worst people to gaslight on the planet now so… do try to enjoy however the golden rule sends that one back your direction.
Very true - I mean I thought it was obvious that it’s not the president’s job to “release” anything, as the DOJ is supposed to work independently of the president’s campaign, but I guess not! Bro found it actually shocking that the democratic campaign didn’t include “I, the president, will do the DOJ’s job and not the president’s job” but yes - an insult was easier than typing all that out, ty
I mean idk, can you explain how #2’s point that the democrats didn’t campaign on doing the DOJ’s job is a surprising detail, and that they should’ve done what Trump did - promise to overstep the boundaries of the executive office and politicize the DOJ - was a superior campaign strategy?
Plenty of Dems publicly said they supported the release, they just didn’t make it a major campaign point because Trump and the entire rep base would have said “you just think there are republicans on it and will fabricate stuff if you win”. That and there are actual policy points that you’re supposed to campaign on, not really on whether exposing pedos is right or wrong lol. The fact he even chose to make a such public stance on what’s a universally accepted to be morally correct action is odd
BUT! Good news is. Since she was convicted of sex trafficking minors. It means they had enough evidence to conclude that did take place. So the government’s excuse that there isn’t enough evidence to convict many of the people who were frequenting the island, appears to be an outright lie. Now we just need to keep persistent pressure on this metaphorical 🎯 and not get distracted by the news saying nonsense about aliens, AI, or any other “look over here!” topic.
So the Dems did support their release too, just not as an entire campaign point. That and the Dems *are* complicit in plenty of our avoidable issues we have rn, and can’t just be excused because some def are in the files too. All we can hope is enough people with a backbone in positions of power are able to keep the pressure up and they get released
