Has anybody in your family ever expressed radical ideologies against Christians or Jews? How do you feel about other religions? Is there any religion you feel like you can’t coexist with?

How often growing up did someone in your immediate or extended family express bigotry towards Jews?

1) not particularly no 2) I think Islam is the undeniable truth but everyone has the right to believe and practice what they want 3) not on the basis of religion itself no but if they’re actively trying to harm me personally I won’t just sit there and take it

Honestly just being a Muslim. There’s a sense of purpose in that we were created to worship God and do right by His commands, and regardless of what other people believe about us we will always have the religion

Depends on which culture. I’m Pakistani so my favorite from my own culture is Nihari (basically beef sitting in sauce that’s so tender it falls apart at just a touch) but from Arab cultures I’d have to say shawarma. Desserts tho… dessert from every culture is beautiful

I know he’s up there in regards to important prophets for Muslims but don’t know much of the specific differences between the Christian and Islamic view of Jesus outside of the name (Jesus v. Isa) and the divinity.

So the explanation offered if the Quran is that Allah (SWT) raised Jesus up away from the cross, and it was made to look like it was Jesus when in reality it was someone else who was crucified. We believe he is the messiah and will come down to help establish order in the end times

Yeah so Jesus was one of the greatest messengers of God, he performed miracles, and was born of the Virgin Mary. We believe he isn’t divine as God is one, with no children, partners, or parents. God is not so apathetic that He would send one of the greatest messengers to die on the cross to absolve the sins of those who follow him centuries later. The only way to heaven is through God’s mercy and His will

Wait so Mary is still the Virgin Mary in Islam?

Well she’s Maryam (linguistic differences) but yes she was a virgin and Jesus was a miraculous birth

That’s fascinating and based. I knew I liked Islam more than most versions of Protestantism for a reason.

Nice of you to assume all Muslims are antisemites, I’m sure you’re a wonderful person irl. And to answer your question idk, I don’t really remember much from before the age of 16 or so but I don’t think so

We both know it’s not all Muslims, and we both know it’s not none.
