
The only decent thing I can think of is the Lumbee in North Carolina got recognized as a tribe, but honestly enacting tribal recognition through legislation rather than through evidentiary process under the bureau of Indian affairs is a terrible precedent that undermines tribal legitimacy.
This is so interesting because I remember a time when I could clearly state a few things he had done. I think his second term has been very focused on leaving a mark and creating a legacy that positive accomplishments are so easily overlooked by his continuous attempts to shape history in his image. His first term I think had more positive accomplishments.
