This is partly bc of British inference in the Indian market and deindustrialization of India, it wasn’t capitalism.

colonizing and pillaging and stealing land is not inherent to nor is it exclusive to capitalism. pretty much every system has involved these things and the global rules based order we exist under now that has severely curtailed this behavior happened with the expansion of free trade globally
