Anyone that goes to a church that uses revised bibles and refers to people questioning interpretations therein “revisionists” are full of shit. And esp so when you factor in that passages have been demonstrably altered to align with contemporary morals

It’s not like the older translations aren’t full of modifications and translation errors. The English-speaking world incorrectly views the KJV as perfect when it’s full of translation errors. This had led to Protestant denominations with major beliefs that aren’t even based on the original text, but instead the translation. I mean hell, there’s even evidence that the New Testament was influenced by translation errors of the Old Testament into Greek from Hebrew.

I’m just saying Bible stuff is complicated and it’s not like the KJV doesn’t have its own errors and wasn’t modified to adhere to 1600s English morals. Religious texts get reinterpreted over the centuries all the time, that’s not unique to the modern day.
