I was feeling bad about being so far behind my friends that graduated with their engineering degrees already, but then they all started saying they were working with/under Lockheed/Raytheon or Oracle or OpenAI and immediately felt better

man i’m in my senior year of my engineering degree (i’m also behind a couple years compared to people who started college the same year) and some of my classmates are still baffled that i don’t wanna sell myself out to companies who kill people and the environment. like it’s never been about the money for me i genuinely enjoy engineering and wanna help make the world a better place.

I used to work in a bike shop in bville and let me tell you that town is the geographical embodiment of a corporate shill. Everyone there has sold their soul to Walmart and the like and you can definitely tell
