It is a beautiful place. It is certainly not the land of opportunity though. The vast majority will struggle all their life and end up in the exact same spot or poorer. We are seeing basically the last few generations of middle class people die out, because Gen Z is getting utterly fucked over as usual.

We’re in a melting pot of cultures…what did u think was gonna happen. It’s an unfortunate reality cultures are beautiful on their own but blend terribly.

I mean I can only speak to my experience. First in my family to go to college, combating racism, being able to make a difference in my community, etc. For me as an African American I have a love hate relationship with this country. I also take great pride in what me and people who look like me have overcome. I just hate how fucking racist and evil this country can be at the same time.
