It’s the same reason Social Security is set to run out by 2035 and nobody’s doing a thing about it: The oldest boomers will be 90, and all they care about is their own comfortable retirement. We’re actively seeing the boomers that are clawing onto power actively having it slip from their grasp. It’s a changing of hands through the one thing nobody can escape, no matter how powerful. Death.

Don’t forget about the Silent Generation. They’re mid/late 70s to 80s. They’ve definitely been in power too long and continue to force policies that they won’t even be around to see realized

Yup. Me personally, idk if I’ll be around or not to see the last snowfall. All I know is that I’d like for my grandkids and their grandkids to grow up catching (non-nuclear) snowflakes on their tongues.

The most selfish generation. Woodstock 69 wasn’t about peace, it was a bunch of selfish fucks taking drugs and fucking until their knees wobble. Now those same people have waged an unsuccessful war against drugs, poisoned the drug supply that they once loved, and act as a moral authority against sex in a recreational sense.
