Democratic politician do though is the thing. Remember when Kirk was killed and all the dem politicians made statements about how awful political violence is and that we as a country need to come together, while Republican figures made calls for civil war? Yeah.

First of all, holy assumptions. I said 4 total words bro calm down. Second of all, a political assassination and familial homicide case have two completely different implications and the expected etiquette from politicians certainly should be different between the two. That being said, still a dick thing for The President to be saying

You’re right, the difference is that in all cases, the president, the person who is supposed to represent and unite the people of the US, should be empathetic to the ones affected by the tragedy. Political violence should also include a harsh condemnation of the act and a subsequent cooling of any divisive rhetoric they use. Oh wait, Trump can’t even do the first part.
