“Oh it doesn’t apply to me!” Ya just wait till YOU’RE at the school where people are gunned down. Until it’s YOUR family in that country that was bombed. Unless YOUR kid is groomed. I can’t be associated with those people because they only truly care about themselves in the immediate moment with no consideration in the fact that they need to keep these standards and fight for these things continuously in order for them to stay as they are.

Tbf to the people in my life who say that many of them know it’s bad but they just don’t see how they can do anything about it. To them they see the options as protecting their peace as the world goes to shit or agonizingly following depressing news as the world goes to shit. Many of them want to enjoy what they can while they still can.

I’m not in that camp myself, I think it’s better to be informed because otherwise you really can’t do anything, at least if you know what’s going on you stand a chance of being able to act. Just saying that I sorta understand where they’re coming from, it’s not like voting or calling lawmakers gets us a whole lot of progress
