In America it's more dangerous to be a child at school than a police officer

Roughly 120 of the 646,000 police officers die on duty every year. The worst year for school shootings I can find is 2021/22 when 350 of the 55,000,000 K12 students were injured. That means if you are a police officer you have a 0.02% chance of dying on duty each year. If you are a student you have a 0.0006% percent chance of being injured in a school shooting.
