Rhetoric matters, if a poor white guy who has struggled his whole life in small town America gutted by big corpos starts hearing all these things about how he’s privileged without a proper understanding of what that means (which generally comes through proper education not very common round these parts) then of course he becomes easy to manipulate by the people who actually want him to believe that he is being “replaced” or all that bs
