I guess what I’m saying is. I drive a 1998 Buick lesabre. An upgrade might be in the cards for me. But if I bought a Maserati right now, it would be absurd to say it’s warranted and being “put to good use”. the bar for that is not just an opportunity for improvement, but managing the investment responsibly. and you’d think “fiscally responsible” conservatives would understand that better than anyone, especially during a shutdown

I don’t see where fiscal responsibility plays into this from a voters perspective, given it’s being entirely privately funded.
