Men are literally so oppressed and the fact none of yall sees it, does anything about it, or even acknowledges it is so disappointing.

Men as in humans generally are oppressed in some sense, most of us are working so that a few people can have mega yachts and private islands and own the apartments you pay rent for

Yeah fuck the patriarchy it does literally nothing for anyone but the top 1%

Some feminists make me afraid they will oppress ordinary men and even if they defeat the patriarchy they will weaponize a matriarchy against us

It’s especially scary because it might be worse than historical oppression of women as at least woman had value and some power under patriarchy but women are out here acting like they don’t need us at all and we’re useless except for manual labor

In what fucking way would it be worse? Women literally only want equal rights and want to live independently of men. They aren’t going to force us to be breeding machines it’s absurd that you think that and it’s telling that you only fear that possible future because you know what women have gone through and don’t want to experience that toyrself

You, or the people you are listening to, are fucking insane. I mean that sincerely. That is not a majority goal or view in any significant portion of women, and there is no evidence any of that is likely in the fucking slightest. Seek help, dude. I’ve been down where you are, and I got out.

Yes I don’t want to experience it. I don’t want anyone to be abused or enslaved, just some things girls say is really scary and concerning and I’d like to be honest about it and maybe yall can make me less afraid of feminism??

Women coming to power, making men worthless and powerless, forcing us to essentially be their slaves by making us pay for any of their attention,

So you’re afraid of women treating men the same way men treat women?

Yes but further that they will treat us worse because we are of less value

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> OP 9w

Why do you think that way. Think logically not from a feelings perspective why you think that will happen

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> OP 9w

You do not need to pay money for the attention of a woman, but you definitely can’t have a victim mentality if you’re trying to get their attention. Being a man does come with some unique responsibilities, but it’s better to just come to terms with them instead of feel oppressed because of it. Women are not your enemy

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #4 9w

Because women are always saying they don’t need us, that we are worthless, that we should pay for everything. And we are so disadvantaged by merit based systems because we develop slower

Anonymous replying to -> #1 9w

You kinda do tho, most girls ant you to pay for dates and one girl this summer I’m pretty sure stopped talking to me because I didn’t have an internship

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> OP 9w

Okay. Women don’t need us doesn’t mean we are worthless. It means their worth should not be tied to us the way it is. Think things like Ms. vs Mrs. Their status is tied to men. Does that make sense? The idea is simply women should have an identity independent of men, which should be the case for anyone. Your worth shouldn’t be tied to another person. And a merit-based systems wouldn’t be so bad for men IF we fostered an environment that helped them. Men today are less educated than women-

Then you’re talking to the wrong girls, I swear to you a lot of them do not really care about that as long as you are motivated in the long run and are putting in effort towards your future

upvote 1 downvote

Anonymous replying to -> #4 9w

Because the system is failing to help men who may have different learning strategies. That’s the fault of our current system creating that illusion, not a reality of meritocracy

upvote 1 downvote

Anonymous replying to -> #4 9w

Yeah because of the merit system disadvantaging us

And it’s failing ordinary men because we are assessed equally to women at 18 when our brains are still quite a bit behind theirs in development

When we live in a society that forces those expectations on men (e.i. Have a specific income, have this status) which favors men, THATS the patriarchy, not matriarchy. I’ll draw a graph to help illustrate what I’m saying

Anonymous replying to -> OP 9w

The problem is that your position doesn’t work logically. If you feel that preventing yourself from possibly experiencing what women go through currently is a just cause, then you fundamentally believe preventing women from going through that experience is a just cause, unless you believe that men and women are not fundamentally of equal value. I hope you do not believe that women and men are fundamentally unequal beings.

Think about it like this. This image represents a patriarchy (the numbered parts being your status as a man, and the blue representing resources) if you do not have a certain status, the system disadvantages you with less opportunities for resources. Think silver back gorillas. The leaders arbitrsry based on having a silver back, so if you don’t have a silver back, you get almost nothing

you think it would be unjust for you to experience what women do. therefore you must think it is unjust that women experience what they do. this means you must support feminism, definitionally. if you do not, you believe that men and women are not of equal worth.

Conversely, a matriarchy (key remains the same) whoever is in charge ensures everyone’s needs are met resource-wise regardless of status because it is a community working towards the betterment of everyone. Whales for example, the eldest female leads the pod because she has the most knowledge of hunting, feeding, and defending the pod, and she ensures everyone gets what they need to survive and support the pod

No because matriarchies are not top and bottom, they’re left and right. Everyone works together for the collective good. Patriarchy is individualistic: who has the best status, who’s got the best resources, instead of partitioning to help everyone survive

Respectfully, men are not held high standards. So many men openly hate women, rape, criticize women for doing anything, or not doing enough. The bar is where it needs to bed we are not children. We’re adults. We should no how to cook and clean and care for a household, not having women do it for us

Noooooo that’s not what the graph is saying bro it’s saying you do not have to worry about a particular status as a variable affecting the dating pool. You still have to be a decent person to attract someone, but the playing field is leveled and doesn’t advantage anyone based on wealth
