people being nerds and being smart enough to find out a shell pac is affiliated or created by aipac despite it doing everything to hide that fact doesn’t make it less of dark money. it just makes people nerds and really smart who figured it out

Do you consider any money spent on campaigns corruption? Were Justice Democrats, Our Revolution, or Working Families Party PAC all corruption? I’m just curious why one gets treated as a malicious foreign actor for the exact same behavior that the others don’t?

I think any money that doesn't stem from the constituents is corrupt because it creates a massive conflict of interest

It's pretty clear that the super organized foreign entity who gives our politicians millions upon millions on the largest scale ever known in return for billions and billions of tax payer money to their country and not to mention the weapons from us committing warcrimes with then is what makes it malicious.

That’s exactly the thing. It’s not foreign. It’s domestic. It raises money from American donors. It’s less of a foreign entity than CodePink or the Omidyar Network are. The National Beer Wholesalers Association even out spends them in Democratic races. They’re just not the juice you pretend they are.

AIPAC is domestically funded by constituents. Also, the data overwhelmingly seems to indicate that special interest funding doesn’t override a representatives positions against the desires of their voters. The bigger issues tend to be equivocation of language or lack of political capital
