 We can and should demand our politicians improve our lives, because they can easily do so by taxing the rich more and funding social services. The only thing stopping them is that they don’t want to tax the rich. We should be angry with them for that.

“Demand politicians improve our lives” and it’s the most complex multi-generational problems like UBI, healthcare, and “wage exploitation”.

Personally I'd see a lot more improvement with the loosening of gun laws than just a general taxation of rich people. We already have the ladder anyways, and the rich people spend barrels of money to avoid paying those taxes.

Now if this taxation were confined to the ultra wealthy, and came with a loosening of taxes for all other classes, then I would find it beneficial.
