I work for a living. Me nor my family own anything of value other than our cars and town home, which we live in. I pay rent. But even Mark Zuckerberg works. The people that own YikYak work. Even investors do research and risk losing money if they don’t put the effort in. Without hard work you will lose what you own to competition or stupidity.
I think you may have been confused by my point. There is a common misconception that the richest people don’t work hard. I’m simply pointing it out. I believe class isn’t one thing or split between a set amount. I think class is a scale. With homeless indebted people at the bottom and richest people at the top.
I’m not sure if this is what you mean but I do think that Dems especially since Clinton have shifted from class to identity politics as their policies moved towards neoliberalism. I think identity politics is important but it can’t just be about identity politics bc then you’re just saying “i know my policies won’t help you but im just like you so you can trust me”
