I just don’t understand how Trump convinced the working class that he’s the man that represents them. I get that’s *generally* the reputation of republicans, but he’s a billionaire. One of the last things I’d think of when I hear “working class man” 😭Republicans forgot his “small loan of a million dollars” shit from the first time he was running for office. Everyone thinks he talks and acts like a normal person because they only see his campaign speeches, if you actually listened to him pre-politics you’d realize extremely quick how out of touch he is with damn near everyone else in the country. The guy has spent his ENTIRE life with a silver spoon in his mouth
I think Trump represents so much of the things the right (in a majority) wants. A return to a world they understand and feels like it centers them. Lowering government spending. Supporting American Capitalism. Going back to a homogeneous time. I think Trump has done a good job of manifesting all these personalities together even if he fails at multiple of these standards. At this point I think calling it a cult of cults makes sense to me
no they don’t. you’re incredibly detached, you remind me of people i used to knows. the average american is living pay check to pay check, a lot are incurring more debt each month just to keep things the same. having a $100k in the bank account would be a pipe dream for most, let alone a mill lol
