I hate when people humanize an entire country, it’s not one single minded entity, it’s made up of millions of individuals who have different opinions and when you group us together it pisses me off to no end

I mean usually we do this as a way of talking about a regime. If I said “America loves to go to wars thousands of miles away over oil” obviously I don’t mean every American supports the oil wars. I’m an American who doesn’t. I clearly mean the United States as a political body, as a regime.

True, but whenever i see Europeans talking about the USA, they all judge us based on on president and the negative stereotypes that are constantly being spread around, so every time they see one of us they judge us

Taking the opinions of Europeans to heart is a fool’s errand. Europeans have massive discontent with their own leadership, and yet they cannot acknowledge when other countries feel the same way.

That might be true, as i said it pisses me off when people group me with the people that are actively ruining my country and our reputation
