“out of luck or wealth I have managed to remain unaffected by current political events therefore they don’t matter”
My life is literally the exact same under Trump as it was under Biden. If you say Trump is bad president then you are saying Biden is horrible too

Not saying they don’t matter but yall blow everything out of proportion. If you were doing alright 2 years ago you’ll still do fine today.

My black friend lost her scholarship, my major is no longer considered a professional degree, I work in a hospital where a lot of people I see now can’t afford to be there since they lost their coverage, and there’s been a stark rise in people being outwardly racist and transphobic on my campus. Just because you live in your cushy little bubble doesn’t mean it doesn’t suck for the rest of us

even beyond social issues he is destroying American global standing and leading us into economic ruin by destroying the status of the dollar as the global reserve currency. he has also been profoundly corrupt and inserted his cronies at every level, and billions are being stolen from the public. he has done deep damage to so many institutions and systems upon which our relative stability and wealth as a country rely. the effects will reach everyone in the long term

I’m doing better than I was two years ago. However, my old coworker got deported leaving his wife and kids. He was one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. My states second largest industry is getting rapidly taken over by corporations and pushing generations of farming families off their land. It’s not about me, it’s about my community.
