I’m going to give you the benefit of the doubt because you clearly have no idea what the average patient population is. The vast majority of the “preventable deaths” are all because the patient was dumb and treated their body like shit for years on end and ignored the advice of their physician. Either that or they don’t have the money to treat their body properly. Which is not a function of healthcare, but economics. We have the best training, hospitals, and tech by far in the US.
I didn’t say that. When I say they don’t have the money to treat their body properly, I mean they eat shitty food for years on end. 95% of the time if you treat your body properly, you don’t have issues. No amount of healthcare can fix bad decisions or the consequences of poverty. Which tells you the problem is the economy.
like im not even trying to be mean to you, im letting you know if these are your preconceptions before you even get in the room with patients, you WILL be a shitty doctor. you will make bad calls because your assumptions will be wrong, because you are not infallible. people will be harmed and it will be your fault. and you will get sued into the gutter for malpractice. so get ur head right or find another field
Lmao okay buddy. Don’t act like you and your classmates wouldn’t get pissed if all of a sudden you were forced to do more work for less pay. That is exactly what universal healthcare would do. That and unless you’re completely ignorant, you’d know that most of your mentors or physicians you’ve shadowed fucking hate Medicaid because it pays like shit. Sit down.
For wanting be a doctor, you sound like you have extremely minimal experience with being in the hospital. Preventable deaths can be from DOZENS of physiologic diseases that have absolutely no relation to lifestyle. You of course have patients who don’t listen to advice, but to group them as a whole and call them dumb is a major generalization. It’s not even an educated one. And “95% of the time if you treat your body properly, you don’t have issues”. Your inexperience is GLEAMING.
Hahaha get fucked. I know your holier than thou ass has to resort to feeling morally superior because you can’t hack it academically. Too bad pretty much the only thing that matters when applying to residency is your performance in the classroom, on boards, and in the clinic. You can be the nicest person ever but if you’re a fucking idiot, no respectable person will take you. You know it, and I know it.
