Many of the world’s problems today boil down to the question: at what point does a group of people become “indigenous” to a land?

colonials are obviously settlers who are not initially from the lands they are settling, like whites in the Americas, Australia and NZ, South Africa, and Israelis in occupied Palestine

See but it just depends how far back you go and how close of a scale you're looking. Aboriginals conquered other aboriginals. South Africans sold other south Africans, and don't get me started on Palestines history. You call them whites, but they also conquered each other. Most Irish get insulted if you call them from the UK. The tribesmen getting attacked by tribesmen would have called each other colonials too. So I disagree and think OP is right. And Idk shit about NZ ngl
