that’s probably true. his cousin or smth was involved with drugs, wouldn’t be surprised if it was deeper than that. or it could be that he’s a sleaze ball playing whatever part the party seems to be needing

bc i was 18 and was watching the election close enough & he seemed reasonable before the primaries. probably wouldn’t have by the end of it all, but just something i think about a lot… we used to be able to flip flop between parties & it wasn’t a life or death choice.

i sorta get it. if trump wasn’t the nominee, i don’t think there would be an existential threat to democracy. i think we would’ve gotten the same supreme court ratio, tho i doubt kavanaugh would have been nominated. and yes, we should be able to change parties, but when trump is on the ballot, all bets are off. he’s bad and that’s that

yeah it’s a fucking shame what he did to our political climate. my grandparents voted for opposite candidates their entire marriage until 2016 and were happily married, just had different values (grandma loved caring for ppl & community; grandpa loved the stock market & fiscal responsibility)

fr. my grandparents are from oklahoma, they are die hard republicans. but they HATE trump bc of what he’s done to the party.
