He didn’t make any jokes about Charlie. This is the actual quote that got him fired. Don’t fall for rightist lies.

He attempted to make tone deaf jokes that just capitalized on an already tense political landscape. Instead of using his platform responsibly by taking time to just condemn political violence and say something genuine or intelligent, he chose to make controversial statements and jokes that just weren’t funny given how tense things are rn. He knew what he was doing, the network knew what he was doing, and there was repercussions.

What exactly about this quote is a joke?

Everything after this was a joke. THIS quote fits the second part of my original comment. It was an unneeded jab at Trump and MAGA that just turned focus on them rather than actually saying anything about the leftist that actually killed him. Like I said it was like he just hopped over the actual issue and instead chose to dig in and make it all about Trump. It was weird and tasteless. He knew what he was doing when he chose the direction of conversation.

According to Fox News this is the quote that got him fired.

Also, we don’t know the shooter was a leftist. Why are you assuming he was before you have definitive proof?

If anything, Kimmel was pointing out how quickly Maga turned it onto the left. Remember: they said it was a leftist before we even knew who the shooter was.

Well yeah… for the amount of work Kirk put into his support of Trump, why would it make any sense for one of them to kill him??? He was a major voice in favor of the administration. That makes quite literally no sense. It was the logical point of thinking given the circumstance. It isn’t any different than people who see a school shooting and automatically assume it was a white male.

So now you’re assuming. You mean the same shit yall complain about during a school shooting right?

Why is it that whenever it IS a white conservative, yall are like “guys let’s not place blame it’s a tragedy” But then when you have the ability to place blame on leftists you’ll do it instantly.

You also realize you don’t have to be a liberal leftist to not like Trump right? What if that person wanted to cause chaos? Authoritarianism? By killing Kirk they’d know how the govt would react about silencing people Not saying that is what happened. But. We don’t know. Yall are acting like you do know. And that questioning it is illegal somehow. Like ffs take a step back and put yourself into the other sides shoes for once.

I’m saying that the left often does that with school shootings. They will see the headline and assume it’s a gun loving white kid.

I personally place blame on mental health for people like this. Anyone who seeks violence on innocent people they have never met before is psychotic.
