That’s all leftist dipshits do. Why attack Trump or Republicans when you hold zero offices or appointments that represent your shitty ideology? For leftists, they have to actually have to build a party to get to that point, which for them, comes in the form of taking over the Democratic Party in the same way groypers seek to take the Republican Party.

I mean I agree that they spend more time arguing with Dems than taking any initiative but this is just a generalization. I don’t think leftists have to wait til they build an entire party just for there to be leftist policies in place if they just worked with Dems

They don’t want to work with Dems lol. Even if that were hypothetically true, why would you work with people who only criticize and never actually offer or sacrifice anything? If leftists want to be taken seriously, go win a Senate seat.

After Mamdani’s win they’ll have to be taken seriously and the squad is taken at least somewhat seriously in the house, but there are no leftist senators besides Bernie

They really won’t lol. It’s extremely frustrating how pervasive a social media understanding of politics is amongst a majority of people. Mamdani will be a mayor…He’s not a US Senator, he’s not a governor, he’s not an AG. NYC is already fairly liberal in its politics. There isn’t much he has the power to do to actually drastically change anything. Even if he did, I guarantee him getting this position will moderate his politics much like AOC moderated hers over time.

I feel like he still has some power as the mayor of the largest city in and economy capital of the nation. But yeah I see what you’re saying

In regard to “the Squad”, the only successful one at this rate is AOC. Omar and Tlaib haven’t really done much legislatively and are more about hand wringing. Pressley is just Pressley. The most important part though…none of those 4 are self proclaimed “leftists”.

He does, but it comes in the form of utilities. It’s not like some Trump shit where he can just claim executive order and do what he wants. There’s still a process in which he has to follow to achieve his goals. Politics is relationships. He can’t be some leftist island and pretend like he’s going to lead some revolutionary charge.
