Wait till he learns the Republicans also had slaves during the civil war and kept them longer than the south did šŸ˜‚

no, it's just acknowledging the very obvious party switch and that the republican party of the mid-19th century isn't the one that readily votes to strip the rights of minorities

The emancipation proclamation only freed slaves in rebelling states…there were states that were allowed to keep their slaves during the civil war(Delaware, Kentucky, Maryland, and Missouri.) they didn’t loose their slaves until the 13th amendment passed…the 13th amendment passed to free ALL slaves…so to answer ur question my source is middle school American history classšŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

Abraham Lincoln didn’t care about ending slavery…had he cared he would’ve released slaves in all states, it shouldn’t have taken two articles šŸ’€ Lincoln wanted to stop the spread of slavery originally not end it

This is because the terms ā€œRepublican and Democratā€ are not inherently tied to the terms ā€œconservative and liberal,ā€ as you seem to think lol

Preserving the history of those, as u put it, ā€œracist slave owning democrats?ā€ Yk…the ppl republicans fought against…why isn’t democrats flying the flag? Wouldn’t it make more sense for the democrats to wanna preserve the history of their racist ancestors?

Correct me where I’m wrong…the southern strategy never happened, but democrats have went away from the confederacy while still being the confederacy and republicans who fought against slave owning democrats fly the democrat flag to ā€œpreserve history(aka losing a war that lasted 4 years)ā€ā€¦
