He literally said Putin should invade Ukraine , he said China and Cuba are success stories that US should emulate and took a trip (definitely paid by CCP) to China to glaze it. You know who is suffering? Uyghur Muslims, Tibet. China is the biggest supplier to the Myanmar junta which is massacring Rohingya Muslims. If you ask all of them they would not have such a positive opinion of China.

As for China & Cuba he says the way China has moved millions out of poverty & their city planning are things we should emulate but he hates that we’re instead emulating their mass surveillance and suppression of speech which he believes are things China does. Initially he actually did say Crimea belongs to Russia and said there was no way Russia would attack Ukraine but he did later say he was wrong. Fine. He literally went to China, and started doing overaction and crying about getting the little red book( cultural revolution killed more than a million people btw). He did say if there was a country that was the closest to being a moral country it would Cuba ( 67 years of dictatorship).

Has said that china did Tibet a favour when it was an autonomous zone and normalised its occupation. You CANNOT talk about improving material conditions in China without taking into account Uyghur Muslims. Their material conditions have not been improved and their language, culture is being erased. They cannot follow their faith and are in concentration camps separated from their families. That cannot be ignored. How can this atrocity even be ignored. Its disgusting.

the Cuban regime is objectively better than the American dictatorship that preceded it. the difference before and after revolution was profound. it brought literacy, hospitals (one hospital outside of Havana prior to the revolution, and Cubans could cross their lands without the risk of being shot by private police employed by landowners. the fact that Cuba has endured a 60+ year blockade AND numerous attempts to destabilize it is a testament to the successes of socialism

the Cuban regime is extremely popular, despite the billions of dollars the U.S. has spent trying to manipulate the perception of Cubans on the island. Americans point to the protests that erupt in response to the heightened American sanctions, ignoring the counterprotests that are *much* larger than the U.S. sponsored ones. Cuba would be a shining beacon if not for the largest empire of the planet trying to drown and starve the Cuban people

I’ve heard personal testimony from Cubans who left including one of my old hs teachers who was more liberal. They made it sound like an extremely repressive regime that benefited government and military officials more than the people.
