french children and palestinian children are both throwing stones at their oppressors because there is nothing else they can do. you will find the lord among the oppressed, stand with them, stand with him

do you not believe that the people who stormed the bastille and the haitians who rose up against their masters were not both fighting the same fight? i compared a fight for dignity with a fight for dignity. a looter who loots because the police are blowing the limbs and jaws off of the people they sat in class with only weeks ago is less reactionary than the sentiment you display in your comment.

it’s similarly laughable to compare the french and haitian revolutions to what’s going on in france now

have you taken a history class? comparing situations like those is the point of history. they are undeniably connected. to say they’re not is unsulting to every ancestor who fought for any right you have now, and any person who is fighting for rights your children will also take for granted. because in 100 years it will still be the same fight.

you can twist my words but thats a stretch. looting is reactionary. if you expect a cornered tiger not to claw your face, i will laugh at the scars

The movement isn’t about looting. People didn’t start this as a means to commit crimes, and the overwhelming majority of demonstrators aren’t commiting crimes. But bad people use events like this to commit crimes, often times (such as in the Minnesota riots) it’s done by people of opposing political extremes intentionally trying to make the political ideology behind the moment look bad
