Nah I get it. There are certain things like immigration and gun control where the far left and right agree with each other more than their moderate counterparts. Some liberals don’t think the second amendment should exist in its current form. More specifically, they believe DC v Heller should be overturned. The leftists that support individual rights to bear arms against a tyrannical government disagree

For immigration it’s more in specific factions and certainly not mainstream. The BSW in Germany and Danish Social Democrats can sometimes come across as anti-immigrant because they believe private corporations benefit from a large labor supply and workers suffer from increased competition

Relativity = liberalism and Objectivity = fascism/ communism. The problem with horseshoe theory and why academics have largely discredited and ignored it is because it completely ignores and simply pretends that there aren’t massively polar differences separating the ideologies…

But that’s not a left/right thing. People on both sides are similar on immigration because they’re both nationalist. They agree on gun control because they’re authoritarian. Not because they’re far to the left/right.
