She hasn’t though just doing a surface level look it looks like that she got dte money that was previously donated to her that rolled into her senate campaign. She isn’t directly funded during her senate race.

Regardless of when she accepted the money it’s a bad look. People are pissed at high costs of living and it’s hard to take a candidate who has been associated with controversial energy groups seriously when they claim to have your best interests in mind. A conflict of interest is more likely to exist there than with someone who has never been associated with that group.

I think that’s fair but at that point we’re far away from she’s being paid off by a company she’s critical of. I mean I’m honestly not crazy about her but Abdul just seems like a populist and I haven’t seen anything great from him. At least I can say Stevens voted for some good bills while Biden was in. Again I’m not crazy about either unless I hear new info I’m also not from Michigan so who gaf.

True true. I’m not from Michigan either so I just have opinions. I’ll also admit Stevens is definite qualified for the job. I have no doubt she would be effective if elected. Whether she’d be effective for Michiganders or for corporations, that’s what voters have to make their mind up on.

considering how Whitmer is doing fuck-all for protecting us from data centers and protecting the Great Lakes water, i’m not too keen on her endorsement of Stevens… if anything it makes me more wary. Gary Peters has done some okay stuff but man has he taken a backseat to it all though. I love that he’s working and not worried about being on the national stage at all (Slotkin is doing enough for the both of them tbh), but bro and his office NEVER ONCE answered or returned my calls since 2016…
